I have Mercury Vessel View Mobile connects the engine to my phone for live engine data if i had the $500 it cost now i would connect the engine with my sounder for engine data as phone isnt waterproof

Another thing the plastic top rear of cowling the handle bit snaps as the plastic gets brittle and that part is NLA

Thanks Gazza - but I really just want to know if the new digital gauges work with this motor - I believe they do but wanting to make sure.

Thanks mate - I went from NFI but guessed that's what NLA meant

I work for a company that - aside from plastics - sell high end 3D printers ...... incl metal 3D printing. So I'm sure the part can be scanned & made .

I went & had a chat to the local Merc dealer about the Mercmonitor gauges ...... He wasn't 100% sure as it depended if the motor was set up for analogue or digital. needed to see it

This bloke I've used previously for boatcode / NSW registration & found him pretty trustworthy . .... I laid it on the line as I would need a local guy for services .... plus to do the rego transfer / boatcode.
Anyhow he ran over what I should be looking for when buying this motor ....... RPM , Oil , Gearbox oil - etc ..... even printed me out the specifications .

I asked him outright about the motor & reliability ......... He basically said that these were a pretty bullet proof motor & took me over to his own boat - which was running the same vintage (pe 2014) same block & had over 2000 hours on it . ( His other business was a boating school) . He showed me the Merc monitor gauge that was fitted to his own boat .

certainly a worthy 30 mins spent with the guy

I think this is what your looking for, i donno much about NMEA 2000 but you must have to use a Mercury gateway from the engine to the gauge or maybe thru NMEA than to the gauge i donno how it works
