A new lithium battery equals a kg of flathead fillets every Fortnite
People will just have to try “lesser” fish maybe
So weres this place basa is only 7bucks at woolies and 60bucks for flathead that must be that NZ stuff.
With the greenies and vegans attacking our sport and governments that pander to them for the sake of votes I’m so glad iv had the opportunity to catch many fish of many species in my lifetime , the fishing scene is going to be for a minority soon as I see it and outstanding catches will be seen less .
A bad days fishing has got to be better than any day at work......
"Of the fish caught in our waters and predominantly eaten in Australia, the largest catches are of shark, mullet and flathead."
By weight our biggest catch is sardines/pilchards which is made into fish meal mainly to feed Bluefin Tuna which is then sent to mainly Japan..
Much of our other premium Seafood is also exported (Live Coral Trout, Lobster, Abalone etc) which makes it unaffordable for regular aussies..Then we just import cheap fish, prawns, squid etc from Asia and Africa to feed the masses...and of course Shark, Mullet and Flathead..lol..
Bit of a joke that we export almost of our good stuff to China and then have to eat eat imported shit-eating catfish from vietnam..or pay $60 a kg for Flattie fillets...
Isn't it the same with meat ??. How long since you've had a quality Steak that melts when you chew it, same for Lamb.
Good stuff is exported n if you can find good meat here it will cost you a hefty sum.
We are sold seconds far as I'm concerned.
If it isnt pumped full of water lol..
Purchased two legs of lamb few days back (near $80 for both ) , looked the goods when picked it up n Missus does it in the oven for all the Familly having come fer Dinner..
Tellya what !! Both legs shrunk to less than halfe size after came out of oven ey and dry as shyte ..
Peanut butter n Jelly tasted better ..
Sorry volvo, i worked in the meat industry ie abattoirs from 1976 till last year, in Brisbane the Coles meat was killed by ACC at Cannon Hill and i can tell you it was top shelf young steers that were grain fed, its when you buy of some butchers that you get dodgy old meat.
As for lamb i gave up on lamb leg ages ago, shoulder is much better, i seal baking dish with foil and start at 180 for 30 minutes then reduce to 120 and cook for 4 hours, i then take foil off and turn heat back to 180 and brown, its to die for.
