Fishing off Clontarf
Gday all, was thinking of trying for snapper and other reefies of Clontarf and was wondering how that green zone is marked and is it easy to stay out of, also is the fishing any good. cheers

Any of the reefs off Margate Beach can fish well.....be quiet on your approach....early mornings or very late afternoons are best....an hour after sunrise is usually the end of the bite period.
Clontarf doesn't have much reef that produces well for snapper or reefies, they tend to hang around the eastern side of the Peninsula.
Anywhere from Margate Beach to Scarby reef you should be fishing unweighted baits, there is minimal current there.
Around the green zone there is more current and you might need a O size sinker.
Yellow bouys mark the green zone.
