Overcoming Poor Visibility From Frontal Clears

When offshore, plastic frontal clears can be consumed with constant water spray from over the bow. This greatly impedes visibility from the helm.

Besides opening / unzipping cut outs in the clears and exposing the entire helm area with water, what are some other ways to improve visibility when using clears offshore in amongst constant water spray from the bow?

Priority is to retain clear and dry helm cockpit area at all times!

wash the clears with war soapy water after each trip and spray the good stuff onto them prior to each trip.

There is a product available called "Rain X plastic water repellent " which works pretty good .

Second what NAGG said--be sure you get the Rain X for plastic, not the Rain X for glass. I used it on my perspex windows on a previous boat, works the same on clears. But you can't beat wipers on glass
