    Well done Smidsy
Oh and I think you missed the point of that post gaz, look a bit harder at the reflection you'll get the idea 😂 If I really cared what you thought about my jobs I could show you paint jobs I've done that would make your jaw drop, as it did for the people who paid me for it. But I guess you wouldn't know what that's like, being paid money in return for hard work.

Interestingly my 2013 Yammy 4 stroke has a bright shiny top cowl but the plastic shrouds below are definitely not shiny and very similar to smidsy job and mine was like that from new so I think smidsy job is perfect.

I could sell my motor in bits and at that rate buy a new boat afterwards.

Smidsy glad you got to get out and use it.

I wonder why that would be though, on the original, perhaps just like me they went the extra mile with the top cowling and cut corners on the bottom cowling.

Lots of motors like that in years past, probably more to do with the plastic used in different parts.

Cobbo big difference between a paid proffessional doing a blurry reflection paint job than a master of all trades being paid nothing to do a home job

I dont really care about the cracking, but WTF is the bubbling ??

I will definitely not be painting it again, I don't have the set up needed, Ill hand it to the professionals !

But what's going on here ?

Is the motor overheating? Just worth checking out.

I wouldn't think so, its a weird area to over heat, only the oil tank is in that location.

My bait board splashes onto this area, dont suppose that has anything to do with it ?

No idea mate. I don't recall what you sprayed it with but a lot of off the shelf paints require a clear coat over them. Or you are using toxic bait.

Could be the cocktail of dissimular brands of paint & fillers some of them fight with each other can produce that type of eruption

Sprayed with Mercury paint($40 a can in marine shop), was told it didnt need a top coat, and Mercury don't sell clear coat in Australia, so bought some Yamaha clear coat
