Helm Seating - 670C Bar Crusher

    Hello all.

I’m about to order a new 670C Bar Crusher.

I would like some advice on preferred helm seating options for this model?

Is the standard Deluxe bolster seating adequate and comfortable and positioned correctly?

What type of seating support at the helm is preferred which are mounted onto the floor?

If you can afford it - go the premium seats .... I hear they are much better (supportive)

I'd ask if these could be used with the Relaxn suspension though - that would give you a comfortable ride

Whatever seat you decide on, make sure you allow room for a suspension unit, eve if you have to retrofit it yourself....

My missus bought this one for me as I am too cheap and didnt really think they would make much of a difference...

I was dead wrong..it makes such a difference to how I feel after a trip out in the slop..

    Many thanks gents.

How is the “Relaxn” suspension mounted onto deck / frame?

Disorderly - can you advise on the model name supplier name of that nice setup you have shown - including box underneath?

Splash the seat suspension is available at the larger boat places...Shockwave and Relaxn make them for between 1K to 2.5K...mine was made by a smaller fabricator for $950 delivered...seatbox came standard with the boat and I just cut it down to size...

    Many thanks for that link.

These are sweet suspension units and look well made.

I don’t think those boxes are still standard with BC. They have something different but similar and less quality. I will ask BC.

Do you like your customised seat box?

What seat model do you have in your photo?

As far as Seat boxes/frames it depends what you want to put in or under them...

I left my standard seat box in because it also houses my travel oven in the side of it plus storage but I fashioned a frame from an old ladder I had on the other side so we could could fit an 80l fridge/freezer under it...missus had to decide between a suspension unit or a fridge/freezer.

Seats are just a Relaxn bolster seat copy but I'd prefer seats with armrests...

    Great! Thanks for this.

Why can’t you have both suspension seat mounted on top of base of a box like on your drivers side - which can house a fridge/freezer?

yeah we could have mate if we went with a shorter, wider fridge but didnt want to encroach too much into the walking space between seats as its a centre cab...

We did think about having 1 smaller fridge under one seat frame and a small freezer under the other...a seatbox is actually not a great use of the space compared to a frame that you can fit a fridge or esky under....

Its just up to your imagination really ..
