I hate grease guns. I've got a McNaught catrige gun. Just picked it up and oil/liquid leaked out everywhere what am I doing wrong? Is there a better type of grease? (Wheel bearing)

I don't know what mine is but it wasn't cheap
when it comes to grease - I use the "red" Aussie made Nulon - you can get it in both the pot & cartridge . I find it is great for boat trailers - high termp / water ....... certainly my choice

I have used the red Nulon grease over the last 5-8 years with no issues that would cause me to change

Same here and also my grease gun leaks it’s wrapped in a towel in a tub just for that reason
Ditto - gun wrapped in a towel & in its own bag which I keep in the tray storage box . Pretty well keeps everything clean

apparently grease is just oil with a thickner added and over time some separates

I back off the pressure and keep mine in the cut off leg of an old pair of tracky daks in a tub.
