Best Sounder for AirMar SS260 1kW Transducer?

Hi All,
I have a 1kW Airmar SS260 transducer that I have been using with my Furuno FCV 582 for a dozen or more years now but the sounder was destroyed in a flood so now looking for a replacement. Any suggestions on the best sounder to pair it with for fishing off the continental shelf in 1500' (about 500M) of water? It makes it easy if I go with a Furuno again as the same fitting but I'm open to change if it will give me a better outcome.
Appreciate any help / guidance, especially with anyone using the Airmar SS260.

Would you be ok with a touch screen or do you like the idea more of buttons?
I personally would stick with Furuno. Either 588 operated with buttons or 1971F touch screen combo.

I'm fine with either the buttons or the touch screen but from reading the technical info on the two it appears that there are limitations when one is fishing over 100M and I often fish 2 - 5 times that (current permitting). When one gets to the deep water (200+ metres) my understanding is that the FCV-588 is more beneficial (with the 1KW transducer). If there are different views to this I'd be quite keen to hear them.
