Clearing floodwaters

Hey all

Interested to hear your thoughts on how long does it typically take for floodwaters to subside & the waters to clear .

I understand that there are a lot of variables & some places can clear quickly whilst others with big catchment areas take weeks .

So for example - The Noosa River , Brisbane river , Clarence River , Hawkesbury River ..... so pretty large systems.

With so much fresh coming down - the offshore fishing will be impacted ..... is that for days or weeks.

Well i went over the Bribie bridge in the Pumicestone passage today and it was still murky i thought the big tides on the moon might be still stirring things up with so much silt deposited on the bottom im thinking it will take a lot longer to settle may be after Easter.
