With the ridiculous price hikes, are boaters filling up the boat after a trip? Could potentially save money, but could also be pointless if it goes off. Is it now worth it to use a stabilizing product?

OK ..... here is the lowdown - fuel does not go off as readily as it is made out to .
The tip is to keep the tank full ..... that limits the vaporization & condensation.
Never use ethanol blends - they separate & ethanol attracts water .
Use high octane fuel if your boat is going to sit around for any length of time .
My personal experiences have demonstrated just that ..... My old 60hp 4stk yamaha spent 2 years in a lay up while it was being rejuvenated ..... full tank of fuel - motor fired up every month or so ......... ran like a dream & taken for a big run before I eventually sold it .
Honestly ( & I have used Stabiil before) ..... fill the boat or top it up with premium ........ & don't worry about it

Thinking out aloud here but looking at the damages from the floods.
War in Ukraine we might have to live with these costs share the the burden ??..
Are we i a position to increase oil production help with the price ??.
Remember before the pandemic started Russia and Saudi’s had a fuel war where oil got down into the low 20’s? Even below that in April 2020? This is their chance for OPEC make back all those dollars and profit handsomely while Russia is getting its oil restricted. It’s a win win for them while a lose lose for Russia.
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
I remember when i went over to Europe in the mid eighties, petrol was already $2 a litre back then!
Heard on the radio yesterday - over 3 pound a litre in London and 66c a litre in Malaysia.
Fuel isnt the oly thing you have to worry about
In recent years, more money has been spent on breast implants and Viagra than on Alzheimer’s disease research.
Which leads one to wonder... By the year 2035, will there be a large number of people wandering around with big breast and erections who can’t remember what to do with them?
lol, picked this up on another site ..
Something we have in common, there. They DEFINITELY don't like regular unleaded more than a few months old. Hard to start, instead of the normal first kick, among other things. I have an 850 Commando, and only run Premium nowadays. As for the boat, I get to use it fairly regularly, and only occasionally fill up with premium 95 as a system cleaner( 150 Merc 4 stroke)As for my old British bikes, I have the 3 month rule as a dramatic drop in Octane levels would play serious havoc on my timing, pre detonation is your worst enemy on these old girls.

It boils down the difference to a closed fuel system - to an open one like a lawn mower , chainsaw , generator or an old vintage motorcycle .
Its not the same as a modern car or even a boat ..... hence the difference
