Good Boat swag for layin on the deck camping out that will stand the cold as well as weather .
Specially if a good shower drops by whilst having a nap..
Should or are they treated for the wet is another question i have ??
Thin matress /foam as underlay ??.,..
Most swags with a PVC base would do the job as a boat swag - it will boil down to how much room you have & your budget ..... you can spend a grand on a swag .
If you need mosquito / midgee protection look for that in the screen that they use .
I wouldn't rely on the swag mattress that they come with ..... add a self inflating mattress in addition - that'll make life more comfortable.
a typical ripstop nylon material will keep the rain out - canvass does a better job but is heavier & bulkier .
I wouldn't worry about the cold - your sleeping bag should cover that .
what I would look for is good access / storm flaps - self supporting center bar rather than just the tent pole type .

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day ! Teach him how to fish & he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!
