Is your dream to become a Youtuber

How many onboard lust at being a popular Yayatuber ??appears every man and his dog pops up doing a Youtube Vid of sorts lol.
Watch most of them but mainly watch the underdog trying to make a Name for themselves or support .
Also must add the novelty of yayatube Fishing ir running thin a tad too. Most of them like hearing their own voice as halfe the Vid is talk befor wetting a line and even then its more talk than action.
Me i doubt ide have time as always too busy trying to shed a Bullshark , Shovelnose or Stingray. Then its full on tying new knots n Gear.
Not only for my Rigs but for those of the Ministter of Finances
Change Fishing spots and by then near time ta head home clean the Boat n Fish . Where would i find the time editing Videos lol, bad enough going back a few years when into my Photography trying to find the time to spend in Photoshop etc ..

I do videos on my channel Vol im not really into the technical side of making it professional just raw footage of me and my mates having fun, instead of having videos stored away on usb card or sitting in a oldlaptop i chuck them up on youtube and share the links with family and friends plus anyone else who wants to watch

I only have about 550 subscribers it takes quiet an effort to get anything financially from your youtube videos but when your killing the videos you can make a wealthy living off it

Look at YBShe bought the house, the boat, jetskis, a truck

Look at that other dude willem power fish he was givibg away 10's of thousands of dollars from his youtube earnings last i seen he was giving away luxury boats

There is another guy angry macks adventures bloke rebuilt a boat and killed it with subscribers and video views $$

Most of it is just crap, but now and then you might come across a funny movie, I have used it on really odd occasions to find out how to do something, a week ago I had to reprogram my electric blinds, and a YouTube video had the steps to do it, although it did miss a very important step that made the entire process useless! I never did understand people watching a 5 minute "how to" on (say) tiling, then instantly think you can lay tiles.....

I watch more Youtube than TV (a lot more - then some) -

But these days It does look like every man & their dog wants to make it big via YT ....... & clearly you can do quite well out of it .

The thing for me is that you need to be interesting , have the right personality & come across well on camera - you most certainly don't need to be an expert but at least proficient.
Keeping it fishing related - If there is someone making interesting videos that are reasonably well produced .... I'll subscribe & watch them ..

There are a few that I really enjoy their content - because of where they go , what they fish for - information gained ...... Pelagic pursuit is a prime example being one of the best of the young crop .
For a sense of adventure - "Back to Basics" is pretty good too ......
I really enjoyed when the Morning tide crew were together - that was groundbreaking stuff ..... unfortunately Brooksy had stars in his eyes . As solo artists they should have stayed as a band

The financial rewards have clearly lured many to trying their hand at it ...... unfortunately they don't have the right chemistry & wont be no Brody Moss (Young Bloods) & his million dollar earnings.

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

That side of YouTube is a different kettle of fish again - you can pretty well find out how to do & fix anything . Great for product research - reviews etc . Combined with google there is a wealth of information out there - Love it !

Yep, 100% correct, not long ago I had to take a piece of the dash out of my Hilux, I looked for ages for hidden screws or clips, couldn't find anything, search YouTube and there is simple instructions, it was so easy, and to be fair, there is no screws, and no clips you can see, so, I was not a complete ninny.......

Awesome for research on how to do stuff..

I also love learning new stuff and my favourite rock songs on guitar by following a few guitar teachers there..

Apart from Strick and Fran from Back to basics..(new remote Western australian adventures starting now - lucky guys) I dont watch much general Youtube stuff..

Used it heaps to find out how to fix things

also a bunch of fishing shows are you tube only now

I take photos of trips but not so much the fish unless it’s something special that I’ve caught
more to record where and when I went to look back on

There’s a few channels I watch to kill time on hot days when working night shift
    dangar marine and his build
Matt’s towing a recovery towing company in the states
    bunch of war channels
adam c English car retro scene guy

i watch very little tv apart from the news

thinking of starting a degree to do in the down time instead of sitting round complaining about not enough sleep

I seen these guys on The Captain about a month ago been keen to see an update, the aussie guys not wearing any ppe is a concern it looks like they called in the professional guys a bit into the video

The boat turned out really nice but there is a shit load of labor in there 4+ blokes at the start than the 2 professional boat builder than the spray job i reckon they would have poured a ton of labor into tbis hull i reckon they would'nt get that back on a sale

These are Sydney blokes from Good Time Marine they used Sylvania (hole in the wall) boat ramp

Yes a great conversion, but when you are doing something that you really want, does labour really come into the equation.

Surely you can understand that having just done what you did in your backyard.

    Cheers
