hi all
i have a lowrance hook2 7" triple shot every now and then it frezes up for 1 or 2 minutes and comes back on bottom locks up and showes no depth any one have any clues to a fix

Not going to help you much, but I had a HDS10 that did the same from new, but added going to the dimmest of dims as well. Sent it through warranty god knows how many times, finally fixed it by getting a Garmin. Not your answer, and it's not just Lowrance, all electronics nowadays are basically expendable items once they start playing up, unless it's a simple 'IT restart' it isn't worth putting up with.
I hope you can solve it, there's nothing more frustrating than things that don't do what they're supposed to do.

Dunno if you remove the unit from your boat or not, but check the connectors regardless.
A little bit of corrosion can cause all sorts of issues.
