Howdy guys. just wanted to show all a new design we have been working on. the Elite 8. a cutdown in scale version of our new ELITE 8.9.
Still with a crazy amount of sea keeping, stability, "room for activities". and requiring less power to push and weight to tow.
I stumbled across Herley Boats on Youtube a few years ago and remember thinking what a great product, someone should bring them to Australia. Good on you for giving it a crack, I really hope they take off. Appreciate the effort you go to posting photos on the other build thread.

Is this the one for QLD..?..Is it for use south of the reef or in reef waters..?
I'm not really familiar with the hull design and how it works so am also hanging out to sea how it goes in various sea conditions..

Hi mate.. this boat is staying in NZ. our QLD 8mt which is a "commander" version of this boat is now in the fab shed "will post photos of that in the coming weeks"
Would love to say its a totally new hull design. Its not. its a commercial in original plumb bow design. a few new tricks to make it viable on trailer boat size hulls. but they are extremely efficient and stable hulls.
I am the australian arm of Herley, its a Kiwi owned/based company with production in NZ.
TBH we have looked very hard to see if we could do have production here in australia as well. but we have struggled to find the facilities to provide the build quality that we are after economically.

final coat of primer going on before paint is laid down.
Hull number 1 out of body and now into final fitout. she is looking super crisp!!
Whens the motor going on and some sea trials,it looks good on the trailer.
This hull is geting twin 225hp hondas in the next couple of weeks and will hopefully then be at the hutchwilco boat show
hull no1 of the "commander" version will have a 300hp cox diesel in late june
the first Herley Elite 8 hull has been pushed into daylight and had its twin white Honda's installed nearly ready for fitout and debut at the Auckland Hutchwilco boat show in may
