    deck on aluminium boat

Hi I have a ply deck with carpet covering glued and fixed to aluminium frames over a diesel engine.
I'd like to do away with the carpet and am thinking of re-doing the ply.
what are my best optins do you think instead of carpet?
Flowcoat with non skid? Rhino lining? should I glass over the ply instead of just resin or paint or flowcoat?
Seadek? (there are hatches i.e. engine room hatch, storage hatches etc.
If Seadek I understand it wont stick to ply. What if i used formply as it has a nice smooth surface? (Wouldnt be able to glass though)

There are a host of options - all comes down to how much money you want to throw at it. Glass over ply, Coosa or Thermolite, Holypan or similar poly honeycomb type floor paneling to name a few. If you are thinking Seadek, get in contact with someone like Machine-It and ask if they have a preferred substrate for getting the best adhesion.

Whole floor needs doing. The current floor is 20 years old and there are some large gaps. T hink i can flowcoat and then apply seadeck to flowcoat. Indint think thermolite is much lighter. Only 3kg or so lighter than ply. Wonder if its as durable as a straight ply floor. I can imagine edges chipping etc
