check carefully, very carefully where the boat is made
The actual buying is safe enough, but.....there is lots of shit gets sold, Chinese rejects, damaged boats, like all auctions, you need to make sure of what you're buying.
Don't forget the buyer's premium

Shakey - If only I lived near the coast
All sorts of boats sold, shops/manufacturers closing down, damaged boats, bad repaired boats, cheap (really cheap) Chinese junk sold with no warranty, it's an auction, buyer beware, all that said, not everything is bad, but, you need to know what you're buying.
Like Noel mentioned - Some of those boats at auction are bought from insurance companies after they have been written off. Be careful. Saw a dreadful cat posted on FB that had sunk and been “repaired” with rubber sides.
