Useless fishing related items you have bought

OK - here is my first one

Now , I thought this was a great idea ...... it has all the lengths for NSW , bag limits and unlike a brag mat - it's convenient .
So I bought one a couple of weeks ago for my Evans head trip

Now while its a good idea - it's poorly designed on a standard steel measuring tape ....... STEEL & SALT WATER do not go well together ..... it rusts , the screws , the tape & the spring ...... so after just one week in the boat , it's stuffed .

now it's not expensive but it's just the notion that it's not fit for purpose - Had it been made corrosion resistant it would be great .

I'll take at least 500 hard and plastic lures to the Gulf, and only use 5, every trip. The trouble is, I'd kick myself if I didn't bring the one I'd left at home!!!

I dont think there would be too many bargain conscience fishoes that didn't take the plunge a decade or so ago .

Mine literally started unraveling itself in my hands - plus this rope breaks well below the breaking strain .

btw did you notice something on the photo ? IGFA line class ...... Hmmm I didn't know there was a 150lb IGFA line class

I use this in red colour for tying stinger hooks and assist hooks....no problems with it for this purpose.

In other words , you got suckered too ....

And we still make the same BooBoo!!, recieved 280 DFS Wide Gape Hooks purchased offa Fleabay today under the assumption they were Chemically sharpened hooks ??. Ordered in variouse sizes and opened the 4/0's see how sharp these hooks are and could stab myself repeatedly with the fecking things and doubt ide do meself harm lol except release enough blood for a sugar level test!!.. ..
Never mind i carry a hook sharpener onboard for such occasions and the shape is what i wanted so will have to live with them.
