Garmin Echomap 93 what map options are there?

Hi All -

I am trying to help out a fishing buddy.

He has Garmin Echomap 93 and I am sure he does not get the best out of the unit with one of the problem potentially being basic maps being installed .

His system will be running the initial factory installed mapping. for the GPS.

I would think that these are upgradeable in form.

so 1st question - Are the maps upgradable?

2nd Question, if yes they are upgradable- is it as simple as putting in a new micros SD Card?

3rd Question - what is the better map option to run on the Echomap series?

Steve. Ha look at this website. I upgraded my 75 about 12 months ago and from memory it was quite easy.
