    Overhead Beach Rod with a threadline?

    I have an overhead beach rod that I got to suit one of my ABU 5000s. Wondering if it us ok to use a threadline....heard things about spine of the rod being different. Not as though I'll be hauling in 15kg Jewies.

    It will work, the guides will probably be too small, and the reel seat be a bit high, and maybe not built on the spine, but, it will be usable.
