Home pc just died and realised I wasnt backing up my gps marks to a external hard dive
Was in the process of converting them to a format to put in the new garmins
22 years worth of spots gone lol
Oh well time to find them again

I don’t have any worth backing up
Just because your PC died does not automatically mean that data can't be recovered from your hard-drive. As the easiest example - if your motherboard died, you can still whip out the hard-drive, connect it via a 'cord' you can get from Jaycar and plug it into another computer as an external drive, then pull down all the info you need. Harder exercises will require a good IT tech - but don't chuck it away until you have explored this avenue. Well, not unless you want to play the reloading game by refinding/revisiting/re-stealing/ the original spots. Good luck with it.
Thanks for that
It’s a dead ssd drive
I have all the paraphernalia of being a computer geek in the past and this one is cactus
My own fault for not backing it up as I had in the past and getting complacent
