That was already possible with Seven Marine's 627 OBs, though they've ceased production as of late 2020. The HCB Estrella 65 had five of them on the back for 3135hp. That was a supercharged v8 though not (presumably NA) V12.
I guess if you're spending $US3m on a 65' centre console, US$450k on outboards is a bargain.
I think I would opt for Oxe outboards....they are in development of a 600hp version.
I wonder what happened to the engine design from the Gold Coast inventor that was bought out in the 80's.
Completely different engine that worked on cam lever actions instead of pistons or rotors.
From memory it developed over 1000hp and was about the same size as a 4 cylinder engine.

Making Hydrogen is not cheap, storing Hydrogen has huge safety issues, using it in mainstream applications will work, but will it be viable enough?
The hydrogen plan I heard was around H for fuel cells, not for combustion engines. H gets separated from water in whoop whoop with solar electricity which runs in an electric vehicles fuel cell which then returns to water. Basically the H is a chemical battery so the vehicle is effectively solar powered. Sort of....
I don't think its any more dangerous than lpg and petrol.
There is also an idea to use the H to launch mini satellites on a hypersonic scramjet craft in same whoop whoop.
So 20 grand USD more than the price of 2 x V8 Verado’s. Boats of the size where 600hp are viable can usually fit twins/trips/quads. The extra performance you’d get by only having 1 leg in the water vs 2 with twins, I don’t think is worth 20,000+USD.
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
The price tag of 80k is a bit rich but it suits those guys with big boats that accomadate 4 400's and is still under powered, i think these 600's are more focused on catering for the bigger boat market rather than old mate running 2x 400's, we will surely see some ridiculous ski boats running these 600's even the bridge to bridge race these engines are going to open a new oputunity for repowers
