I usually fish the southern bay for school mackerel , but for a change of scenery a friend took me for a trip out off Redcliffe for an exploratory mission. We found some fish feeding on the surface in short time so I tossed out a slug and put a nice specimen on the ice without stopping the engine. We then found some bait and anchored up and put a dozen or so in the ice box using bait before head home before lunch time .
