Mmmm!, the welder my local boat shed uses is bloody big and heavy, no doubt as they also do survey work and their welding is very good.
Can I ask why you can't take it to them?
Rodman they likely wont do it due to welding hazards big law suit if he blinds someone he would need to set up welding screens, drag along his 10kw generator etc.. it just wouldnt be worth the job it would cost a fortune they wouldnt use your power as there machines probably use 15-20amp outlets and your house could be a fire hazard

my neighbour use to come weld shit on my boats all the time the tig unit was tiny, use to bring it down in a wheel barrow with all the leads
