We still don't know if it was OK before, or if this was self inflicted, makes a big difference to possibilities and trouble shooting.

I know what you mean, just like a weak bladder, get it fixed and it can go from just a pisser to a fire hose. To be honest though something appears to have been disturbed in the process. A case of following all the steps and trying to not rely on memory.

I replaced the impeller in my 30hp merc, it was half the thickness and weight of the original, ended up putting the old one back in and now shopping around the dealers to find out why, are they just getting generic parts in (which I think is happening as I found a Tohatsu impeller that looked about what I received.
