Also is there a way of stopping the side ads from coming to the centre of the page and blocking what you’re trying to see when you zoom in on a picture?

As of a few days ago, I get a full page add appearing if I click on any topic, it's starting to piss me off, I keep trying to keep things moving and alive, but the adds are starting to wear me down.

Re: Ads messing with the function of the website

Reviving this thread again as I'm getting ads covering the quick reply box and the only way around this is to go advanced.

Also adblock doesn't seem to be working.

    Any help appreciated

Adblock Plus handles it without problems for me on all browsers.
I do have a few sites that lock me out with adblock, but i can do away with those news sites....who in their right mind would pay for a subscription to the Courier Mail? Woeful reporting there.

Adblock and Adblock plus aren't able to be downloaded at the moment for some reason.

And its funny that I can use the quick reply box on this thread but none of the new ones

It occasionally causes me some issues and I do have to go advanced.

Jack I think you got it slightly wrong, the Courier Mail doesn't report anything, the whole tabloid is just opinions.
One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce and canonized those who complain.

Exactly right Sam, they are as pathetic and channel 7 and Ten.....it is very hard to find a facts only source now.
Reuters offers too much hearsay now as well.

The weekend's Bondi event should be a real wake up call to the media.
