    Quintrex Apex Hull

    Hi All

Am looking at a new Quintrex Freestyler. Probs the 590. Wanted to know if anyone has had first hand experience in the Apex hull in offshore conditions. Will be using this mostly in/around Moreton Bay and outside Moreton island.

Also plan to use the boat as a crossover for a bit of cruising and water skiiing. Have also considered the Barcrusher 615BR but is at least $10K more.

    Thanks!!

Doesn't look any different to the old design, is it just a name change?

    Re: Quintrex Apex Hull

Have u looked at the specs and packages on the freestyler?

Package comes with 3 cylinder 90hp but the boat is rathed for a 6 cylinder 150hp that is quiet the world of difference in engines..

Really nice boat love that new hull shape

A couple brothers/mates have a freedome sport bow ride we take outside off sydney almost every time goes good but use correct throttle for conditions, there are boats we over take and than there are boats that over take us..

Sorry couldn't watch/listen to that dip stick, half arsed annoying salesman any more than about 30 seconds, I wouldn't buy a boat off him ever.

That's the good thing about technology. You can turn down the volume or use the mute button.

That's the trouble with technology, they haven't advanced it enough to develop a mute button to use on some people.

What a totally pointless video..and as mentioned very annoying salesman..

and the freestyler looks like its trying to mimic more of a tri-hull style with a deep v in the middle and big outer hulls or chines...looks Ok for bay work but you can still hear the tinny slap ..must be pretty light hulls...

Yep. A couple of years ago before I bought my Tournament I was looking at a Signature in his yard and it took not even 5 minutes to get out of there. I’m sure he’s a nice bloke, but sales is not his strong point.

Yep I have a very long held desire to own a 580slf and about 8 years ago one turned up in his yard. I went to look and fled after he turned up talking way too much. I called the yard a couple of days later hoping to get someone else but no luck. I work in sales so give most other sales people a bit of freedom as I have lived it but this guy is the pits.

No mute button can fix his problem

Quintrex have been making a fair few changes to their renegade and other ranges

    Reducing no of persons.
    Battery weight allowed up front
    Electric outboard weight

Taking out live wells and increased deck height with more foam inside them

People are just overloading the hulls

Take my 420 renegade for example
    I’ve seen
    Anchor winches
    70-100l fuel tanks installed
3 batteries start and two electric
    Biminis
    Deck eskies and so on

Brought this up on the owners page when it was mentioned and got banned from it when I pointed out they are just a uprated pressed tinny and people were adding too much shit to them.

It’s also been reduced from 5-4 persons
