    Offshore Moreton Sunday.

My mate and I headed out Sunday morning through a very tame SPB. We hit the 33’s first for a couple of snapper and an undersized cod.
We then moved up to the 35’s to finish off our bag of Snapper. Biggest went 62 and smallest was 44cm. We caught all but one on floatlines with Pillies. The bottom bashers barely got a nibble all morning.
Our bag of snapper was filled by 11am so out came the knife jigs and we jigged a good show of bait 20m off the bottom. First drop was a bonito, then a Sargent Baker on a knife jig, then a good sized tuna. We moved out to square patch and found more bait and managed 2 AJ’s just under legal and missed two solid hits on the floatlines but we were too busy jigging to set the hooks in time.
The weather was perfect, just enough wind and current to keep the boat moving without being too rough or too still[emoji106].
