Changing the ladder
I am looking to change the ladder on my boat as I have a few people that struggle to get in the boat from the water, now in saying that i myself even struggle a bit and I am pretty fit and skinny, its not the most user friendly ladder, I think the main issue is the angle of the ladder really seems to lean back from top to bottom so when you go to get in you are already leaning back and essentially having to really pull yourself up.
Does anyone know if the holes are standard for ladders or they are all different ?
I go measure mine on the weekend and probably check out alternates on whitworths or something, was looking at this one, but want one thats mire vertical or even where the top leans towards the top of the boat a bit and has slightly thicker rungs to stand on.
Was looking at this maybe

Re: Changing the ladder
Hi Marko, I have the same problem getting into the boat from a rear ladder as I'm a big fat bastard with a beer belly ( according to wife). I purchased a simple plastic ladder that hooks over the side of the boat and folds up flat when not in use. I have no problem getting into the boat and my belly clears the side of the boat easily. I just fold the ladder up and lay it on the floor out of the way. I can't remember how much it cost but it was very cheap. I just let the kids use the rear ladder as they are a bit more agile and younger than me.

It would be a miracle if you found an off the shelf ladder that goes anywhere near fixing your problem, getting a custom one made will be your best option, just get it made to suit your needs.
