Hi Peeps,

I have never fished in fresh water, but we have been invited to a red clawing trip this weekend at Somerset. I am keen to give the fishing a go as well.

Firstly, can you eat the fish you catch in there? If so, which ones? Any tips on rigs, bait or lures etc, greatly appreciated.

You can keep and eat Australian Bass and Golden Perch. You’ll need to purchase a Stocked Impoundment Permit. https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/ac...c-fishing/dams
