DI venture.. April .2019
Hi all,
The weather gods permitting, there will be a DI ( Double Island ) fishing trip on the 7th April. ( possibly the 6th, if weather is much better than 7th )
Moon good
Tides great
Departing Tin Can Bay ramp 0500hrs... returning 1800hrs.
Checking in with Coast Guard on any updated GPS waypoints for the bar before we go.
Log on / chat / log off to the Coast Guard Tin Can Bay ( VMR417 ) on vhf 67,80,82....and 16 of course.
ReBait will be on vhf 80 & 82.

Phil,
You will need to check the bar waypoints. We do a right turn now,old entrance is closed over. Phone CC before you leave they have the marks. Was good last sunday. cheers Brian

What sort of grounds are you planning on fishing? Close in or out wide?
I might be able to tag along. I’ve only done two trips up there so far and I’m keen to look for Reds out wide.

Sorry Lucky_Phill, I couldn’t get a deckie to do an overnighter so I’m just going to head out off Brisbane on Sunday.

sounds interesting, have deckie problems also but looking at Meteye 15 to 20 knots bloeing in from mid morning Saturday and over the weekend
