Hmm, I was under the impression that Savage shut down their fiberglass part of the business long time ago (~8-10 years ago?) and sold the remaining hull forms to Whittley?
I thought they only made and sold aluminium boats after that?

Telwater own the Savage range and their glass boats are built in China. .

Remember to always log on before heading offshore.

Correct, Savage glass boats are sold through different dealers to their alloy range, though some do have both, a recall is not the end of the world, different to if there is a problem and they just don't want to know about it.

Just read a bit more about the recall, seems only a couple of models are involved.

80 boats in total as i recall.
Still not an ideal situation & perhaps a marked decrease in resale value.
I wonder however, for those that are not "repairable" who will cover the cost of removing engines & electronics, etc & the refitting of same to the new hull?

Telwater will pay dealers to do any work required, it's pretty common practice when there is issues like this.

just lucky its here with a recall system to force them to rectify and that a large company is involved where a smaller company would probably just go bust

and all depends on how bad it is or sensationalism from media reporting

my Mitsubishi challenger had 7 recalls
