    Moreton Bay Spotties

Hi all its been a long time since ive even been on Ausfish never mind putting up a post but here goes / Picked up a new boat a few months back and was keen on chasing some spotties in the bay so my question is are there any in the Bay yet and what areas are they in ? Hope someone has some info as im looking at next week-end. Ive had my new bus out off Fraser and Moreton so its not her maiden voyage but id like to take my two grandsons into the calm waters of the bay. Attached is some pics of the new rig.

    Cheers Ray.

Just back after 3 outings in 5 days with no luck to date. Mainly trolling. Found plenty of bait balls north east of mud, but no macks or bird activity. Spoke to the guys from tackle warehouse and apparently one boat caught 13 last week. As tropicrows said, very hit and miss. Miss for me at the moment. Great boat by the way. Hopefully see you on the water soon. SS

I went over to moreton for a look this morning and didnt see any birds or surface activity. Plenty of bait around shark spit but couldnt raise a fish off any of it.

    Hi BigE
Let me know how you go mate but as you said they should be a few more than whats being reported in the bay by Jan ! I work down the Goldie and have seen a lot of boats coming back to the ramp at Currumbin with full Bags of nice size Spots.
    Cheers Ray.
