Fish report - charter-rainbow beach school hols
Just back from a few days camping at Carlo Point Rainbow Beach way while there we went on a charter- Rainbow Escape Charters. We had to change days due to weather and went on the Thursday. The weather was still a little lumpy at times and conditions not as good as forecasted.
All in all , a good time had by everyone with a feed of fish brought home. One nice Red Emporer boarded was the biggest fish. A few other big fish lost. Myself and son had a good start, first up on the Pearlies, Tusk fish and other assorted fish using soft plastics using our home made jig heads/ skirt units- getting better quality / quantity than the baits to kick off the day. The meta slow jig units we knocked up did well also.
The assortment included Pearlies, pan and norm Snapper, Hussar, Tuskies, Tuna , one Red Emporer ended up in the esky for several anglers.
Rainbow Escape Charter guys- Harry, Jake were really good - covered a fair bit of ground, moving constantly and trying various methods. Big thank you to those guys for making it all possible and great bunch of fishers.
