    The cape on sunday

Headed out for a solo fish left Wynnum at 4:30 for a very nice and calm cruise through the bay got to Hutchies around 6-6:15.. my plan was to just drift around the 25-35m lines and float line for a feed then go out deep just sounding for new ground for about 2 hours before heading home. The first fish hit relatively quick and had a very nice feed early .not a lot of current
just enough to float with a size 2 sinker and 20lb line the weather was stunning
headed out deep found a few possible locations to try in the future so headed back to the southern end of hutches to burly with the remaining bait just tossing in Pillys with a unwaited one with a hook in it
hooked a big king at the back of the boat it’s good when you can see them take the bait but the fight only lasted a minute as it was only 20lb leader

there was little current in close but the fish were on and all sorts of fish as well
the cape still fishes well in my opinion..

also so seen this poor bloke on my way back in does anybody know what time he got home?Click image for larger version.

Nice feed well done. I bet old mate would have been sitting there for a while.

Yes I think the tide was still falling about 1pm . You would have at least noticed the tide going out?
