have down loaded my trails on a cd card from my sounder but cant open them on my computer it said they are usr files and cant open

You need to get your hands on a program that will load the USR file format or convert it to a GPX or other file format that can then be used in something like Google Earth. There are freeware programs that may be suitable like EasyGPS.
