Yep, first time in 28 years but a giant prawn boil in “Canal X” 🤪
Everybody turned out, well three houses only, and ripping them out every (terrible) cast!
Problem is the little buggers schooled right up on the oyster covered rocks in about 12” of water, so really difficult to net and lots damage to cast nets!
i bagged 150 as per the pic attached so hopefully they will come back tonight or again on the tide tomorrow!
Don’t go grabbing your cast nets and coming down as firstly they seem to be only in one canal and there’s no access to them other than trampling through someone’s house!
From a boat would be a disaster as you would be pulling your net back agai st the oysters and rocks!
Be great if it became a yearly occurrence!
