    Cruisecraft vs HH vs HS

In my quest for a "good" boat, if there is such a beast is now extending to Cruisecraft. I think i have seen enough on the net to know what i like from the other two makes. what i have noticed is that in the bowrider/runabout styles, they pretty well match up in layouts with signatures up front and HH rear. Let me be clear, i am looking at boats 1980-1999 vintage.
My questions to those who know about about them are, how do they compare in ride comfort and friday build quality. Do they suffer from the same timber rot issues? I suspect they are subject to poor build, same as everyone, as i have seen lots of nice photos of transoms with ridge caps and nice screws into the end grain, lol. Its not to criticise , they just followed what everyone else did, more as to get a feel for what I have to allow for

Nice aluminium /ss caping on transom ridge and some nice screws straight into the top of the transom - the end grain side.

You didnt notice? lol. Just the place you want water to get into the nice soft timber.

I own the 1993 Haines signature 532F sistership. 530F Bermuda marketing gimmick. Built by John haines.

It was a boat motor trailer package and built to a price.

Yes it had timber rot. Aluminium capping etc. poor chopper gun attack on the stringers etc.

But modern composites and a rebuild in design, I love the shape of the boat. Handles my local conditions extremely well. Takes 2-3 blokes on overnight trips to greet barrier reef. And chews minimal fuel doing it.

Loves to be aggressively driven and speed gets the hull working the best. A little tender at rest with the narrow hull form and deep vee. But it works.

Love mine. But will be selling it soon to find a new shed.

Yes. I have. My boat has fiberglass caps with screws. And no sikaflex. How can manufacturers be so negligent???
