Howdy All.. if your like me and want things to be of a high quality finish... but get terribly frustrated when that means you have to backtrack and add a few hours extra work to a project "or when the zooper doopers are not frozen yet" then you will appreciate these new retrofit glands from SeaView.
They allow all thru hull cables from transducers or antenna, external lights etc to have a very safe, very waterproof and classy fitting installed without having to remove the cable.....sold!

WATERPROOF CABLE ROUTING FOR OLD OR NEWLY RUN CABLES

The only guaranteed and proven watertight installation for your currently installed cables! In a new category of its own, the new Retrofit Cable Glands provides a watertight installation for your currently installed cables. No need to re-run your cables, simply install with your cable in place! These new Seaview Retrofit Cable Glands provide a waterproof pass-through for antenna, transducer, lights, power and other cables without removal of the factory installed cable connector.

FEATURES
WATERTIGHT INSTALLATION
IPX6 and IPX7 tested and approved. What does this mean?

• IPX6 test means these pass 100L/min of water sprayed from 2.5 to 3 meters away for 3 min.
• IPX7 test means these pass a 30 minute submersion under 1 meter of water.
• Tapered rubber seal and base gasket prevent water intrusion.

EASY INSTALLATION
The new Seaview Retrofit Cable Gland makes for a very easy assembly to new or old cable installations.

• Captive nuts
• No need to remove cable connectors or cables at all during the installation

NEW VS. OLD CABLE GLANDS
STANDARD (OLD) Cable Glands: Split-seal option does not require connector removal during install, however you still have to consider connector diameter. You cannot use current Cable Glands with currently installed cables, you would have to re-run your cables.

NEW Seaview Split Cable Glands: Easy to install if the cable is already in place. These are also very easy to use on new cable installations.

The new Seaview Retrofit Cable Gland makes for easy water tight installation on pre-existing cables due to its unique split design.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL DOME SHAPE
Same great looking dome-shaped profile provides a stronger, impact-resistant design (no sharp edges to hit your foot on!). Flush top design means no place for water or dust to collect.

I can think of one or two places on the upcoming instal where these could solve a problem. Do you keep them in stock, Moose?

they currently not in stock yet. we have no ETA on when they will be. however for new builds you can use the standard mounts. I personally like the scanstrut stainless deckseals .
