    Mojoes the flatty guru

Poor old Rob hadn't been out for a while and in desperation agreed to come out for a fish on a boat half the size using silly string and bream gear. Unsurprisingly he smashed it! He took to using 6lb pound line and 1/8th oz jigheads, soft plastics and tiny reels like a duck to water. We boated about 15 odd flattys. Best went 70cms (which went back) Ended up taking 7 nice fish home for a feed.

Rob is looking to off load his 8 meter platey and buy a bass boat and Minn Kotta so if you are after a bargain hit him up

Juna reckons with all the weight you've lost, you probably don't have the strength to pull a red in, so flatties are your new go to fish

They are a bit deep for him Luke.

He will like the 600mm depths, less pressure on him

Now you mention it he did ask to be taken back into the shallows a couple of times when we drifted out in the 2 meter depths. I shoulda put in an electric reel perhaps?

Thanks again Luke for the great morning out fishing the super shallows .
First time in 20 odd years I have fished estuaries and found it fun, surprisingly.......
Tho, I'm not used to those 4:00am starts anymore, it's been a while.
Look forward to doing it again.

    Cheers Rob

I know....... it was like casting a jighead into a puddle.
As soon as it hit the water it was on the bottom hahahaha
I was gonna sneak an electric setup on board hoping you wouldn't notice
Also nearly popped a couple of Travelcalm as well, was pretty sloppy out there

Rob, he did the same to me, turned it on the first I went and then ever after its been a hard slog. Don't go to the dark side mate, keep chasing them Reds.

I could tell Funchy was slowing taking me away from the super shallows and into the weed and deeper Dignity.
    I'm was onto him

Gezzz I thought I was gonna have to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay my share of the fuel.
Funchy, you really need to get that motor looked at as I don't think I could afford another $0.50 trip

Least of your worries. Wait till the bug bites and you end up with 15 different tackle boxes of assorted soft plastics and jig heads, 2 kilo outfits that cost more than your electrics do and a new tinnie with a minn kota and battery banks big enough to power a small city LOL.
