Headed out Friday with the intention of getting a feed of fish for Good Friday and was not disappointed. Started off getting some livies and headed out to the spoil grounds. Water was pretty murky and green but it did not seem to matter to the fish - as soon as you were under the layer on top they were there.
Ended up with 4 Snappers, 2 Spotties (caught on Squid) and a nice Cod. Had a great BBQ Friday night and a few celebration rums. Also had fun with a couple of solid Hammerheads that took a liking to our baits.
Headed out from Scarborough yesterday to see how the Northern Bay was and though still green there was plenty of fish around. Started off with by Brother in law getting onto a nice 5kg Mac Tuna and then headed to the tripods and played with a heap of Frigate Mackeral for a couple of hours. on the way back we tried the single beacon east of the tripods and hooked some very solid 10kg plus Mac Tuna that seemed to be schooling there. Landed three and kept one for bait. All caught on Slugs.
