yep good move Dave. An extra 10psi doesn't sound like much but it can make a lot of difference and help keep temps down. Don't forget this is the cold tyre pressure too.
Yes would be interesting to hear back down the track if you still have problems. Your tow ball weight is certainly on the high (very) side, but as you have the truck to handle it, and if you solve the tyre reliability issues, will save you a lot of pain if you don't have to move axles.
