    Thailand cat

I was over in Phuket for a holiday recently when I spied this cat under construction in a boat fabrication factory . I couldn't resist and stoped for a look . It was about 6.5 mt and very well built IMG_1897.JPGIMG_1898.JPGIMG_1895.JPGIMG_1896.JPGIMG_1893.JPGIMG_1894.JPG

It looks alright except for the seats.

Sides are really low. Helps the boat look good but may lead to nervous passengers in a beam sea.

That welding looks less than great compared to Fisher, Moda, etc. And those welds are in plain sight............. how about the internal welds that you cannot see.

Had a customer bring a party pontoon in recently from China, It had posts welded tot he bottom of the pontoons for wheels, we had to have the center pod cut off and redesigned as it had no transom rake whatso ever. I don't think he saved any money in the end from buying local

Not too sure how low the sides are, just looking at that high back chair as a guide? but then, photos can be deceiving at times.

Probably moot point worrying about height of the sides. If it's staying in Thailand most Thais are very small ( except the ladyboys in their high heels but not sure if it's that sort of boat ).
