    Express Boats.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any feedback on express aluminium boats? I just got a 5 metre cavalier and it needs an engine rebuild or re-power. Question is does anyone know the max HP for these bosts? I can't find a manufactures plate anywhere? It has a 70hp on at the moment but considering a 90hp if it's suitable. Hoping someone on here could shed some light? Cheers.

From memory the 5.6 Overnighter was rated to 90 HP and the 5,0 and 5.2 were 75HP

Is the one you got from Yatala?

Ok mate no worries. No I got this from Sydney. I'll probably just end up putting another 70hp on. Was even thinking a 60 would do the job. Cheers.

More fun with a 75. Mate of mine used to play in the surf with his ie just drove anyway up down and sideways as the boat would just pop thu the waves with ease. We also used to pull cray pots in all weather. We had to do a retrieve in 6 m seas in my 5.6 m overnighter and with two of us on one the side hauling with the waves we never got a drop over the side.

Stick a pic or two up if you get a chance. Use infranview, its a free down load on this site .

    Cheers
