    Marine VHF radio operator’s course

Hi all, does anyone know if someone around Brisbane is offering a marine VHF radio operator’s course in the not too distant future? Having recently purchased a boat with a VHF radio in it I would like to (or should I say I have to) get my license so I can legally use it.

I know that there is one coming up at Manly next month but it’s a bit pricey, this course offers both licenses but as I only need the one I am looking around to see if there is a cheaper course available.

Good luck with that, pretty much a closed shop with the various rescue mobs the only ones doing the courses.
Money does go to a good cause though.

Haven't even looked at the "rescue mobs" as yet but I will now, thanks

Raby bay/Victoria point vmr used to do them, but nothing on their calendars.

Never seen any license checked, but I do have one, but its handy to at least read the books. Now you frequencies, how to distress, and distress relay , simple fixes, how vhf/repeaters etc works.
