The best outboard is a Suzy DF175... because it's going to be on the back of my new Bar Crusher 670![]()
I'm looking fwd to when we can get these:

Had a couple of Yamaha 4 strokes with no issue but if I were buying new between 60 and 150hp I reckon I would lean toward the new mercs.
340kg according to their web. 2.0l intercooled turbo diesel. With a number of euro car diesels now using alloy blocks and lower static compression ratios you could easily see that figure lose at least 80kg in the next few years, probably more. 200hp and 400nm of torque! Offshore weapon?
awesome replies guys n gals thanks for contributing to the thread i am learning also lots about all different motors very insightfull and hopefully you all enjoy talkin motors..
kool fishwpa its hard not to drool over bigger and bigger hp motors but a nice 175hp suzuki aint no less an engine
i always thought that high a hp would have to be inboard it is a lot to hang of the back but hey if you got it flaunt it hang it where you can see it.. id have to say its the muscle car engine of boats..
So long as the americans haven't a hand in it then its the outboard that gets you to the fish. Althoughi have to admit a small soft spot for the bike V-tec Honda's, reliable, quick and a lovely sound to them. shame about the solver but you can't have it all.
