Lowrance to furuno waypoints

Well its nearly time to upgrade.
Looking into tztouch and i like what i have read so far but the question i have is..
Can i simply type marks from the Lowrance global mab 3000 straight into the tzt2.
Will these marks be in a different position.
It has been suggested to me that they are different.
If so what needs to be done to transfer them across?

Can't give an exact answer Stue apart from knowing that Furuno conversions to the new TZ2 gear have been a bit buggy with certain character sets causing software issues. Best advise would be to talk to Taylor marine to see if they know of any specific issues and to find out exactly what you may need to edit prior to conversion. You also need to ensure that if you do type them straight across that both sets are using the same position format. Some units use degrees, minutes and seconds. Some units use degrees, minutes and points of minutes. Some units use degrees and points of degrees. A lot of sets allow the user to specify any of the options I have listed. All that is required is to ensure they are both set the same.
