    Land based livies around redcliffe

    Gday all,
Just wondering if anyone knows a good spot for casting for livies landbased around redcliffe?

I was in the hornibrook tackle shop and asked old mate in there and got a blank look followed by I wouldn't bother trying around the jetty and that was all I got.

Anyone tryed burly to attract them around the jetty or smout?

    Any help much appretiated

You should do fine for hardy heads off the reddy pier - go to one of the platforms on the end, and try along the Woody Pt for any manner of livie - herring, mullet, gar, yakka. I'd give jigging a go, too.

There are plenty of hardies, y'tails, and herring being caught off the Shorncliffe pier right now, too.

Not sure about burly but livies around Hayes inlet do well (I am told).

Livies are too much work at Redcliffe just use fresh yellowtail and live happily ever after. Fish the rocky points out the front on a low tide on dark.
