What is best product to tie mud crabs

What do others use to tie mud crabs.

Want to buy a small quantity and , as I have the pots in (broadwater) at present might need an urgent answer

Just plain old string, I prefer the old fashioned kind of "hairy" stuff rather than slippery nylon.

I just use builders string line.. get it from bunnings, it's cheap, ya get a fair bit of it and it's on a pretty decent roll that can get thrown around the boat and stood on a few times and not leave u with a massive ball of stringy mess...

I use builders string as well I have seen zip ties used but I think it was only because they didn't have any string.

It's really good if you have 2 people and you can either just tape their nippers closed or tape them the same way you would tie them with their nippers close to their body.
