The list of vehicles grows every week.
Although, those of us that traverse this area know what to expect and when to attempt to get around the rocks, those with less experience seem to come to grief.
The report states the driver attempted the crossing around 1 and 1/2hr before high tide.
With the New Moon on the 7th, tides during the day would be higher than usual. Therefore a crossing anytime after 1/2 tide up would be fraught with danger.
Again, we dislike this time of tide and prefer to cross on a dropping tide.
I have always wondered about the insurance side of things in these circumstances ????
cheers LP
