I have a 4.3 with a Holley 500 twin barrel and electric fuel pump.
Was about to chime in and say my fuel bowl never empties even after weeks....then I went down and tried it - dry as a biscuit.
Makes me feel a right burke doing those priming pumps of the throttle at the boatramp.
Anyway, the electric fuel pump does not help because the way the Volvo/GM is wired, the pump only works when cranking the engine or when it is running - same as a mechanical. It takes about 4 - 7 seconds of cranking to fire it up (now I know why).
